residential elevators need to be “matched with how big, how much, how fast,” which is related to thousands of households. there is no special residential elevator standard in the current national elevator standard. only 12 or more buildings are required, and 2 elevators are required. this standard does not specifically decompose “12 floors or more”. with the emergence of high-rise buildings and super-high-rise buildings in the city, some super-high-rise residential buildings are equipped with only two elevators, while some super-high-rise residential buildings are equipped with low-speed elevators, making many high-rise residents often “difficult to find one ladder”.
the relevant person in charge of the special equipment safety supervision department of the municipal quality supervision bureau told the wuhan evening news reporter that the quality supervision department found in the supervision that due to the low elevator configuration, many elevators were over-fatigued, prematurely aging, and the failure rate was high. the standards have not been able to meet the requirements of wuhan residential development. to this end, according to the requirements of the municipal government “to ensure good safety in advance”, the municipal quality supervision bureau, together with the relevant provincial and municipal administrative departments, worked together with elevator manufacturers, users and maintenance units to jointly develop the general requirements for residential elevator configuration and selection. 》local standards.
